Letter from the FCCC President

News Worthy

Greetings Patriots and Countrymen.

As July closes out, we have been blessed with an unseasonably glorious day. Normally hotter than Hades and the steaming humidity, I should be out doing something, but no, I’m here gathering thoughts and planning agendas and reaching out to you, the lifeblood of the Frederick County Conservative Club. There is no shortage of topics or events coming up in the next few weeks so, let’s cut to the chase.

Tuesday 3 August 6-9-pm

FCCC will have a table and canopy set up in Carrollton Park located on Prospect Blvd between Carrollton Dr & Center St. for National Night Out sponsored by the Frederick Police Department and South End Baptist Church. This is a good opportunity for FCCC to get out into the neighborhood and prove to people that Conservatives are not the child starving, old people hating ogre’s the media paints us as. To help prove that point, when young people come by our booth we will invite them to register for a raffle of 3 items, a soccer ball, a skateboard and a 20″ BMX style bicycle generously donated by Kirby Delauter and WF Delauter & Son. We are trying to line up face painters, if you have a modicum of skill you can help put a smile on a child’s face, literally. We also have 100+ Thin Blue Line flags to hand out.

Wednesday 4 August 2:30pm

Unmask Frederick County Public Schools Protest at the FCPS-BoE building (Taj Mahal) 191 S. East Street Frederick, MD 21701. Some members have put together this protest to combat the BoE’s decision to put face diapers back on students, going against the science and fulfilling their desire for total control. Masks should be a choice, not a mandate! Come out and stand for Freedom and our children. Who knows, you may get to meet a certain governor candidate who has been fighting for our rights, whose name rhymes with fox! I cannot promise I’ll be there; my boss is a slave driver but, I’ll be there in spirit and our PA system will be there.

Thursday 5 August 3pm

We are trying to get enough people, 25 minimum, to take a bus to Cambridge, MD for Dan Cox’s Gubernatorial Campaign Kickoff at the Sailwinds West at Governors Hall. $80 includes entry to the event, dinner and round trip transportation provided by Eyre Bus & Tours. Ticket & Bus info can be found HERECome on out and support the man who has stood up to Lockdown Larry, Delegate Dan Cox! We will be leaving the MARC Station behind Target on Urbana Pike (355) at 3:15 PROMPTLY and returning to Frederick approximately 11pm. Be there and make history, don’t just read about history.

Wednesday 11 August 6-8:30pm

We will have our regular monthly meeting in Baker Park again. I know many of you asked for air conditioning but, we were unable to secure a facility for under $500. So, to help you beat the heat and get your chill on we have a great lineup of speakers and some fantastic grub being catered by Mission BBQ! Our lineup of speakers includes candidates for, but not limited to, Board of Education, City Aldermanic, Mayor of Frederick, County Council, State Delegates, State Senator, Congress and maybe a Governor candidate. We’ll give each candidate an opportunity to introduce themselves and give a 5 minute ‘stump speech’ and then subject them to your questions in an open forum. CLICK HERE to purchase your dinner(s) $17 in advance, $20 on the day of the meeting. Regardless of whether you pay in advance or the day of, we need you to RSVP, so we get an accurate headcount by 9 August.

Upcoming Meetings:

September 8 we will be at the Lewistown Fire Hall to welcome Gubernatorial Candidate Dan Cox. It is a large facility so, be sure to bring your family, friends and neighbors!

October, we have Sheriff Chuck Jenkins and County Executive Candidate Michael Hough scheduled. We are thinking of doing it picnic style with different fun activities for the family. What are your thoughts?

“Loyalty to country ALWAYS. Loyalty to government, when it deserves it.”
