If photo ID is required, does this mean the conservative club is in favor of removing all fees charged to get a photo ID?

While the Frederick County Conservative Club applauds anyone or any group that exercises its First Amendment Right to peaceful protest we must speak out against the protest that occurred on April 9th. On that date, a mob of emotional misfits and miscreants protested a perceived injustice and destroyed private and public property. Not only that, they harassed and threatened members of this club as they were driving home from Downtown Frederick. The mob also marched in the street, blocking traffic and lit fires at 2 separate intersections downtown.
This behavior can’t not be, and must not be tolerated. We place the blame for the lack of response and lack of leadership squarely on the Mayor of Frederick, Michael O'Connor. He has shown time and again a fundamental lack of backbone. In this instance, his lack of leadership WILL lead to someone getting hurt. We call, DEMAND, that he immediately resign, before his poor management of this issue leads to the injury of innocent people at the hands of the mob he is apparently afraid to stand up to. We demand that the police enforce the laws in existence and disperse the mob should they or any group protest again causing damage to private or public property. We call on other clubs to join us in publicly condemning the mob and the damage they caused.
Leadership calls for the protection of all law abiding citizens, not the coddling of the criminal elements.

Yes i agree ☝️ I did receive a phone call from the Mayors Assitant. I’m demanding a meeting with the Mayor and the Chief of police. According to his Assitant because of budget at this time he can’t meet with me. I told him i will be waiting.

The businesses downtown need to demand action. We just dont go there anymore or bring guests downtown.

I would have media lined up 1) if Mayor refuses to meet or 2) follow up to mtg with Mayor. Have a statement ready for media. Fred Jennifer

Spineless leadership. Leaders fight for righteousness and defend the law of the land. That’s what has made our nation great. The inability to defend our laws leads to the destruction of all that is good and just.

After the last protest, which resulted in damage to private property, I sincerely hope that the powers that be allow the laws to be enforced. If the same crap occurs again, I hope the protesters will be dispersed immediately and arrests made. Peaceful protesting is one thing and should be encouraged, destroying others people’s property because you lack the basic intelligence to get your point across is a crime and takes away all credibility your protest might have had.

Most people here will know the 2nd Amendment by heart, I’m sure.

But who knows Article 1, Section 8, paragraph 16?
“[The Congress shall have power:] 16. To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining the militia, and for governing such part of them as may be employed in the service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the appointment of the officers, and the authority of training the militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;”

And who knows Maryland Code Title 13 Subtitle 2? This outlines exactly WHO is a member of the militia in our state.

“ (a) Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, the militia consists of able–bodied individuals who are:

(1) citizens of the State;

(2) citizens of the United States who take an oath of allegiance to the State; or

(3) of foreign birth and who:

(i) are residents of the State; and

(ii) have declared their intention to become citizens of the State.”

Subsection b provides the EXCEPTIONS, outlining WHO IS NOT a member of the militia in Maryland:
“ (b) Subject to subsection (c) of this section, an individual is exempt from subsection (a) of this section if the individual:

(1) is exempted by the laws of the United States;

(2) is exempted by the laws of the State;

(3) is a member of a regularly organized fire or police department in a county, city, village, or town;

(4) is a judge or clerk of a court of record;

(5) is a register of wills and deeds;

(6) is a sheriff;

(7) is a member of the clergy;

(8) is a practicing physician;

(9) is a superintendent, officer, or assistant of a hospital or correctional facility;

(10) has been judged mentally incompetent;

(11) is addicted to narcotic drugs; or

(12) has been convicted of an infamous crime.

So, according to all this. Not only do you have a human right to keep and bear arms as outlined in the Bill of rights; but Congress should make a law for the federal government to not only BUY YOU A GUN, but they should be providing for the funding for training you on how to use it!! ...
