Here we are, starting a new year; this should be a time of renewal and hope for the future, sorry but; I’m not feeling it.
Heading into 2023, we are on the verge of losing our once-great Constitutional Republic. If one were to look at all the happenings in the world, it is a fairly grim picture: from China and Covid, Ukraine and Russia, ethnic cleansing in Africa, and of course, the powers that be have refined the art of the election cheat almost worldwide.
Things that were once thought taboo are now accepted as mainstream. Seriously, drag queens dancing on the White House lawn celebrating the so-called Defense of Marriage Act. Changing the vernacular on numerous topics, most notably, a pedophile loses its negative connotation by using the acronym MAP, minor attracted person. It truly is disgusting, not only the act but the acceptance by the woke media and academia alike. Other words that have made the passé list; man-made, mom and dad, he or she, convict, addict, and wait for it… American.
Domestically, things don’t look much better. Our Southern border, which by the way, was made official on 30 December 1853, and may as well not even exist. Fentanyl and methamphetamines cross that same non-existent border by hundreds of thousands of doses daily. Woke ideologies are present in every level of governance, from ‘no cash’ bail for criminals; unless they happened to be at the capitol on January 6, 2020, but; I digress.
The things listed above are basically things that you and I have no control over, other than choosing not to participate in their woke BS. We must act locally. Our own Nancy Allen is a Lone Ranger on the Board of Education. Get out to BoE meetings to offer moral support, have your voices heard, and end the sexualization and indoctrination of our children.
We have been the ‘silent majority’ for far too long. Our silence has been misread as complacency and acceptance of the status quo. Showing up on Election Day is not cutting it anymore. We must get involved in the process, the planning, and the implementation of policy that will affect both our and our children’s lives. If we lose our children, we lose our future.
To that point, I am declaring 2023/2024 as the Year of Our Children. Not in the liberal sense of “for the children”, launching another feel-good do-nothing program that does nothing but drains our wallets and poisons the child’s mind. No, in the ‘23/’24 cycle, all of the candidates we cultivate and support will have our children as the focus of their campaigns. There will be three seats opening on the Board of Education, and both a Congressional and Senate seat available, as well as the Presidential election.
I do apologize for not painting a rosy picture going into the New Year, but that is not my job.
“Be at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbors, and let every New Year find you a better man.”
Benjamin Franklin
